Classic Thai Massage Courses
Workshop weekends are open registration!
Classic 1, 2 & 3 Bodywork Classes ~ 1-3 Weekends, 20-60 NCTMB CEU's. There is no longer a need to take one weekend before another. The classes are now rounded out to accommodate students varying interest and scheduling. Courses are open to all Yoga, Reiki, Relaxation practitioners, Massage Therapists, Nurses, Health Care workers, educators and the general public who have a healthy desire to learn how to meet some one where they are and to physically assist in another's restorative practice of self care and well being. Attendees receive Nationally Certified Continuing Education hours, whether to work privately, by improving their current practices, as well as those simply wanting to provide comfort to their families and friends, which can also develop into a part time or full time practice. |

Within all of the weekends we will cover the basic principles, ethics, bodywork and theory of the
Thai Healing Art of interactive massage, energy meridian work, and yoga treatment.

Within all of the weekends we will cover the basic principles, ethics, bodywork and theory of the

- No experience is necessary to start in any one weekend.
- Taking them in order is recommended for beginners, as to sequentially build upon the previous information and practice.
- The workshops can be taken out of order for those willing and able to accept the light and added challenge of receiving the information in a non-linear way, which can be a great lesson in creativity!

The 'Classic' Traditional Thai Massage 1 & 2
NCTMB CE Certificate - 1 or 2 Weekends, 20-40 Hours
We will cover the 'Basic' principles, ethics, bodywork and theory of the Thai Healing Art of interactive massage, energy meridian work, and yoga treatment. This is the 'Classic Routine' or Massage formalized by Ajahn Sintorn Chaichakan the founder of The Traditional Old Medicine Hospital, Chiang, Mai Thailand; As recorded and published by C. Pierce Salguero & D. Roylance, in The Encyclopedia of Thai Massage.
This will be taught with Westernized safety precautions for the client and practitioner by S. Cheiky.
All with ample practice time!
*Weekend 1 is no longer required to take 2 or 3
20 Hour CE Certificate is awarded after completion of each weekend.
*A 40 Hour CE certificate is awarded to those who desire to perform and complete a full Classic Thai Massage Course or Routine.
*A replacement certificate can be awarded to those wanting to combine the two weekends, performing 1 complete Classic Routine with supervision.

- Discuss the Basic Principles & Ethics of Thai Massage
- Become familiar with the History of Thai Culture and Spirituality
- Learn of the 10 major Sen Lines- Energy Meridian Work
- Massage Techniques including: Thumbing, Palming, Forearms, Elbows, Knees & Feet
- Learn a sequence with over 120 moves and over 60 Individual Stretches & Yoga Assists
- Learn Proper Body Mechanics
- Learn Basic Anatomy
- Learn Breathing and Meditation techniques
All with ample practice time!

Classic Thai Massage I ~ Weekend I – 20 CEUs
- Acupressure, Sen Lines, Basic Leg Sequence
- The home base of Traditional Thai Massage in which to create your art and practice, a beautiful yet challenging introduction to the 'Basics'.
- Building a structural foundation on which to build a solid Thai massage practice. Including Introduction to the Thai system of healing with concentration of hands on massage techniques, acupressure and thumbing the major Sen Lines of the legs and arms with beginning assisted yoga postures for the lower and upper body.
- Great place for anyone to start, especially the beginner.
Classic Thai Massage II ~ Weekend II - 20 CEUs
- Full Body Assisted & Finishing Sequences
- Naturally growing and continuing from the first weekend's foundation, introducing larger assisted yoga stretches, with back massage, shoulder mobilization, neck & head series as options, Thai culture and ample practice time.
- Good start for the yogi with an understanding of personal practice and interest in physical assisting and beginning hands on techniques.
Traditional Thai Massage 3 ~ Intermediate Stretch, Sidelying, Seated & Beginning Walking Bodywork -
NCTMB CE Certificate– 1 Weekend - 20 Hours
Change comes in many forms. Covering all Side-lying, Seated, Walking and some Advanced yoga assists, all to better prepare you for your discovery in the Art of Thai Massage and other new flowing forms!
*Best suited for individuals who have had some form of experience with Thai, massage or yoga practices, are generally healthy and or willing to experiment.
Many students who want to further their practice, education and have a few questions about the 'Classic Routine' course information. Here we have the opportunity to discuss frequently brought up questions about the practices or mechanics of Thai Massage in general.
We will gain more knowledge and practice by:

- Gain experience with Acupressure using varying techniques; forearms, elbows and knees
- Deepen our awareness of the 10 major Sen Lines of Thai healing.
- Understanding Hot/Cold & “Therapeutic” Considerations/ Contraindications
