Honoring Labor Day
On this Labor Day, let’s take a moment to honor the hands and hearts that give so much. Massage therapists, yoga teachers, and wellness practitioners spend their days in service—holding space, offering touch, and guiding healing. Thai Massage reminds us that caring for others should never come at the cost of our own well-being. Through mindful breath, safe body mechanics, and clear intention, we learn to prevent burnout and sustain our work for the long run. May today be a reminder to rest, receive, and restore yourself as much as you give. Who We Teach, and Why Our workshops are created for massage therapists, yoga instructors, and wellness professionals who want to go deeper into their practice without sacrificing their health. So many students arrive saying they feel tired from years of table massage or overwhelmed by the demands of caregiving. Thai Massage offers a way forward—expanding your skills, protecting your body, and helping you rediscover joy in your work. Training isn’t only about learning techniques—it’s about connection, listening with your whole body, and creating sessions that are alive, responsive, and healing for both you and your clients. A Taste of Thailand: Longan Season September in Thailand is longan (lamyai) season. This sweet, cooling fruit is prized not only for its delicate flavor but also for its healing qualities. In Traditional Thai Medicine, longan nourishes the blood, calms the mind, and supports restful sleep. You’ll see it fresh, dried for teas, or added to sticky rice desserts. Even here in the U.S., reflecting on seasonal rhythms in Thailand reminds us that food and medicine often share the same roots—both intended to restore balance and harmony. Honoring Lineage & Integrity In every workshop, we begin by honoring our teachers. Thai Massage is not just bodywork—it is a living tradition passed carefully from teacher to student for centuries. We honor Ajahn Sintorn Chaichakan and the teachers of Shivagakomarpaj Institute in Chiang Mai, whose wisdom continues to guide our path. With more than 20 years of experience in Thailand and the U.S., Sarah carries this lineage forward, blending tradition with the needs of modern practitioners. Our promise is to stay true to the roots while offering training that is accessible, practical, and sustainable. Upcoming Trainings Come learn in a supportive community where practice is rooted in compassion, mindfulness, and tradition. Release Yoga | Green, OH
Reflections for September
Student Voices "Sarah led a deeply informed class for Classic Thai Massage. She thoroughly explained the history, which helped us understand its effects as energy work. I felt comfortable with the acupressure and assisted yoga poses, and the space felt safe and supportive. I highly recommend her courses and plan to return!" — Samantha Closing This month, may you find balance in your work and in your body. Thai Massage reminds us to move with intention, breathe deeply, and carry peace into every touch. Join us in training and step into this tradition with us. sarahcheiky.com Editorial Calendar created by The Sabai Jai Project for Sarah Cheiky AUGUST 2025
