Happy New Year 🌿
As we step into 2026, I invite you to pause for a moment and feel into the sense of possibility that a new year brings. In Thai Massage, every cycle begins with breath, awareness, and presence—and January is a beautiful time to begin again. Whether you’re a massage therapist, yoga teacher, energy worker, or simply someone drawn to healing arts, this year offers many opportunities to deepen your practice, learn new skills, and reconnect with the work you love. 🌸 2026 Thai Massage Training Schedule Is Now OpenI’m happy to share that our 2026 Thai Massage training calendar is officially live. Throughout the year, we’ll be offering:
🌿 Why January Is the Perfect Time to Learn Thai MassageMany students share that beginning their Thai Massage training at the start of the year helped them recommit to their purpose and rediscover joy in their work. Thai Massage:
🧘 Movement Is MeditationThai Massage has its roots in moving meditation. Each stretch, compression, and transition is guided by breath and intention rather than force. When you learn Thai Massage, you learn to move from your center—creating sessions that feel grounded, fluid, and deeply supportive. 📍 Upcoming Training LocationsSome highlights from the year ahead:
🤍 The Heart of Thai Massage: MettaAt the center of Thai Massage is metta—loving-kindness. This practice teaches us to listen through touch, cultivate compassion, and create spaces where clients feel safe, supported, and deeply cared for. As we move through 2026, may our work continue to be guided by presence, connection, and kindness. ✨ An InvitationIf you’ve been feeling the nudge to expand your skills, refresh your practice, or say yes to something new, this may be your sign. Thai Thank you for being part of this healing community. I’m grateful to walk this path with you. 🌱 December Thai Education Newsletter
Honoring Tradition • Cultivating Connection • Teaching the Art of Thai Bodywork A Gentle Welcome to DecemberAs the year draws to a close, December invites us to slow down, breathe deeply, and return to the wisdom of the body. It is a month of grounding, renewal, and meaningful connection—both with ourselves and with those we serve through Thai Bodywork. This season, may we honor touch as a sacred language, movement as meditation, and tradition as our guide. The Art & Wisdom of Thai BodyworkTok Sen: The Rhythmic Heartbeat of Thai HealingTok Sen (ตอกเส้น – tòk sên) is one of Thailand’s most ancient and distinctive healing tools. Using a gentle wooden hammer and wedge carved from tamarind, practitioners tap along the body’s Sen lines, sending rhythmic vibrations deep into the tissues. These vibrations help:
If you’re curious about integrating Tok Sen into your Thai Massage or Table Thai sessions, we offer workshops and hands-on training. On this Labor Day, let’s take a moment to honor the hands and hearts that give so much. Massage therapists, yoga teachers, and wellness practitioners spend their days in service—holding space, offering touch, and guiding healing. Thai Massage reminds us that caring for others should never come at the cost of our own well-being. Through mindful breath, safe body mechanics, and clear intention, we learn to prevent burnout and sustain our work for the long run. May today be a reminder to rest, receive, and restore yourself as much as you give. Who We Teach, and Why Our workshops are created for massage therapists, yoga instructors, and wellness professionals who want to go deeper into their practice without sacrificing their health. So many students arrive saying they feel tired from years of table massage or overwhelmed by the demands of caregiving. Thai Massage offers a way forward—expanding your skills, protecting your body, and helping you rediscover joy in your work. Training isn’t only about learning techniques—it’s about connection, listening with your whole body, and creating sessions that are alive, responsive, and healing for both you and your clients. A Taste of Thailand: Longan Season September in Thailand is longan (lamyai) season. This sweet, cooling fruit is prized not only for its delicate flavor but also for its healing qualities. In Traditional Thai Medicine, longan nourishes the blood, calms the mind, and supports restful sleep. You’ll see it fresh, dried for teas, or added to sticky rice desserts. Even here in the U.S., reflecting on seasonal rhythms in Thailand reminds us that food and medicine often share the same roots—both intended to restore balance and harmony. Honoring Lineage & Integrity In every workshop, we begin by honoring our teachers. Thai Massage is not just bodywork—it is a living tradition passed carefully from teacher to student for centuries. We honor Ajahn Sintorn Chaichakan and the teachers of Shivagakomarpaj Institute in Chiang Mai, whose wisdom continues to guide our path. With more than 20 years of experience in Thailand and the U.S., Sarah carries this lineage forward, blending tradition with the needs of modern practitioners. Our promise is to stay true to the roots while offering training that is accessible, practical, and sustainable. Upcoming Trainings Come learn in a supportive community where practice is rooted in compassion, mindfulness, and tradition. Release Yoga | Green, OH
